How many RCA outputs do i need

My ac/dash stopped working last week and i purchased a metra kit. I have everything to install only thing left is the single din. Im going to be trading the car in soon for an 06 so thats why i want to buy a cheap single din radio for the time being. My question is : does it have to have any specific features? Or can i purchase any deck? Someone told me it has to have two RCA outputs is that true?

Would any of these decks work?

For your application, the number of RCA outputs is irrelevant, it's the speaker-level ouputs that matter.

Assuming you picked up the ROEM-NIS2 if you have bose, or the metra 70-7550 (or equivalent) for non-bose, either of those two will work fine, as they both have four channels of speaker-level output.

The ROEM-NIS2 can take speaker-level output and convert it so that the Bose amplifier can use it to make as many channels as your car needs (5 or 6, sedan and coupe, respectively).

If you don't have bose, then you only have four channels to worry about, and both those headunits have four speaker-level outputs, so the four speakers that both sedan and coupe non-bose systems have will be powered by the headunit.

What if I have bose but didnt get the Roem-nis2? Will it still work with the factory amp? Also do they sell the ROEM-NIS2 in stores? Or is it only online

If you have bose but didn't get the ROEM-NIS2, you'll get very poor sound out of it - any or all of the following: quiet, noisy, no bass. The bose amp needs a differential-balanced signal to operate correctly.

Car audio shops carry the ROEM-NIS2, best buy may even have some back in their install area.
