Hi all.

I need to buy a key and remote for my 2005 g35 sedan (does not have the intelligent key). The dealer wants $450 for a key, remote and programming.

ikeyless was roasted by someone on the 350z site.

I like the switchblade (key+ remote in 1). Any recommendations would be appreciated. thanks

 

I bought a switchblade key off of ebay and it works great, but you need the internals of your factory remote for it to work - So that really does not help your situation.

 

You need the factory key as it has a chip that needs to be programmed to your car. This should run you a total of about $170. But you do have options when it comes to the remote.

 

thanks. I have 1 factory key + fob. I wanted to buy an aftermarket key/remote for a backup. If this won't work, why is there an aftermarket for these things?

Because there were Infinitis being made before the whole chip in the key thing...
