Best possible picture quality for DVD movies
I'm planning on connecting up a DVD player to the Nav system soon. I was wondering which method produces the best picture quality possible. I was thinking of going with either an XBox with a Generator Labs NavBox connecting the XBox to the Nav, or an Innovatek DVD player.
Where can the Innovatek DVD player/TV tuner be purchased from?
2004 Coupe 6MT / Caribbean Blue / Willow / Premium / Navi / Aero Package / Aero Kit / Splash Guards / Clear Corners / July 2004 build

Re: Best possible picture quality for DVD movies
I can't speak for the xbox but I have the innovatek dvd player and the picture is very clear. The "innovatek" dvd player has many different names. One company produces these dvd players that other companies buy and slap their name on. Mine is actually called a directed tv (If i remember correct) but it is the exact same unit.
I got the pac video input and this DVD player from JT audio accessories in Anaheim. Give JT a call he will hook you up.

I have the Innovatek MP3/DVD/TV player used with God_of_CPU's Xenarc screen. I like the way it looks. Quality is nice. I got the player from www.mp3playerstore.com - Great prices and good shipping.
Hey what model innovatek player did u get pratik? There prices are dirt cheap. I am thinking of going with your same set up with an innovatek player and xenarc screen. This should all be less than $1000 INSTALLED if i am calculating right which is quite a bargain. How is the Xenarc screen? Good quality? Any problems? Looks good? Oh yea....how much was it all together installed? Thx man.

Hey Omar. Here is the link tot he product that I got. I got it because its the smallest product you can find and I wanted to make sure I could install it in the glovebox:

I should say though that I haven't actually put this in the glovebox just yet. I speak with Chuck frequently (owner of Digital Wheelz) and I am lucky enough to have him live very close to me so he has helped do the install with me and tested out his install of the screen on my car. So far all is well and am happy with the Xenarc screen quality along with this DVD player. It seems to work pretty well.
Unfortunately though I haven't been able to hook up my PAC-AAI unit to get some sound. You can think of it like this:
Xenarc screen and housing - $375-$400
MP3/DVD/CD/TV - $135
PAC AAI - $80 or so
I haven't gotten my remote mount Navi unit just yet. I'll definitely be getting that though because the screen has 2 inputs in it and mine will be the player and nav unit.
As of now, I'm just going to be enjoying my mp3's with great soudn with the PAC unit and be able to watch DVD's if I wanted too.
