Trouble with Viper 5900
I've had my Viper 5900 installed for about 3 yrs now and just recently, I've got a problem with it.
The car doesn't unlock or lock when I press on the remote, however it does disarm/arm the alarm.. Autostart still works...
Does anyone know what the problem of this?? could it be the module being defected or I just need to program it?? If anyone knows how to program it, could you please tell me step by step? I've googled it and found no answer.. just how to sync a new remote.. -__-
I never had a problem with this before. It was completely 100% working before and it just happened out of no where. I heard that I need to set it to double pulse but I'm not sure how to program that.
HELP!!

The double pulse would only effect unlocking, not locking so chances are slim that that is the problem.
It's hard to say what the problem could be without seeing the car - there are several different ways to interface with the door locks.
I would recommend taking it back to the installer and having them take a look at it. Most shops guarantee their installations for as long as you own the car.
If that isn't an option, find the alarm brain, find the door lock outputs and trace them. If they go to some sort of external relays make sure the fuse on the relays didn't blow. Also, make sure the relays haven't corroded. If the wires are jammed in to your BCM pins then maybe they lost connection? If they ran in to the drivers door maybe they were damaged there? If they go to a data module maybe the module is bad? Like I said, there are many different ways to make the doors lock....
