my friend purchased a used 2004 g35 sedan, the head unit says bose and has a cd and tape deck. i have looked all over and dont see an amp or sub. im not sure if the bose amp is missing or if it is supposed to have one. thanks for your help

 

It's under the rear deck, behind the rear seats.

If the amp wasn't there, you'd get no sound at all.

If you mean very low sound as in no bumping subwoofer, that's bose for you.

 

By low sound I don't mean bass, I mean the mids and highs. Its almost like listening to headphones. How do I know if It should have an amp? I don't see it in the trunk. There is a harness tucked in the carpet

Is it possible the previous owner removed the bose amp, resulting in such a low volume? Did all g35s have the bose amp

Possible, but doubtful.

Only the ones that say bose on the headunit an on the rear deck grille have the amp.

On coupes, it's by the spare tire.
