I too got the 3HDT last week. What I couldn't get past was the 30HD lost the lifetime traffic and added iheart radio. I could give a crap about iheart and got a killer deal on a 3HDT on ebay. It's not installed yet, but a friend has the 30HD and loves it. I'm very happy with my decision, can't wait to get it installed.

Correct on the lifetime traffic question and you have to buy an adapter for the steering wheel controls. I bought the Axxess off Amazon.

Damn! I didn't know about the 3HDT and real time traffic at all! I got the 30HD installed along with everything else to hold me off for awhile, and I do wish there was real-time traffic....Even at the stupid discounted price I bought mine for, I've been complaining in my mind "I pay this much, and there still isn't real-time traffic on my HU? Wtf." Hope you're liking it man, I almost got the X930BT, but luckily they were out of stock.

Well I finally got everything I need for my install and we'll be doing it Sunday the 22nd. Here's what I ended up with, I'll post a build thread after the install.

JVC 3HDT
Scoshe trim
Clarus C61--2 front components
MB QT PWE-302 12" sub
JDM DD w/dual ac
JL 300/4
JL 500/1
4080 box for the sedan
Boyo back up camera
Metra Axxess steering wheel controls
XM kit for the JVC (have to have my Sirius NFL channel)
And the various assorted harnesses and kits needed

I'm so pumped to finally get rid of this crappy Bose system, 3 of my 6 CD slots won't read my Cds.

Looking forward to seeing the install pics. I replaced my nose three times under warranty. Finally got around and installed a P4400BH last week.

Sounds like a fun weekend, wish I could be there to give a hand.

I've got the 300/4, 500/1 4080 box all in mine. The amps fit very nicely on the back of the rear seats.

The image above was my 1st try, it's much better to run the wires along the outside, not through the middle.

When doing it, COMPLETELY remove the rear seats and all the rear deck trim. Trust me, the 1hr or less it takes to get that stuff out of there will save you much, much more time and frustration of trying to work around the parts still in the vehicle, plus, you get to remove the bose "subwoofer" for better bass transfer to the cabin.

Thanks for the heads up. I've taken the seats out a few times so that's not an issue. Did you mount your amps to the grey cross braces back there? I'm glad to see your picture, I really want to keep the pass through open. I fish a lot and would be sad to lose it. I wish you were here as well since you know your you know what so well. Wish us luck!!

I mounted 3/8" MDF to the grey braces, then mounted the amps to the MDF. I used rubber grommets, lock washers and loctite on them all to ensure there wouldn't be any vibration. I wish I'd taken more photos of the amp mounting, but with all the mosquitoes out that time of year, I just wanted to be done ASAP.

Here's the only one I took for reference towards the beginning (before the evening of bloodsuckers):

Some of the bolts had to be fairly long, but just buy a dozen or so, then cut off the excess with a dremel to avoid damage to your upholstery on the other side.

I bought it used from a member here. You can still buy a new one from Boxology but they are almost $400.

Shoot. I've been planning on building something- even if I find one on driver the shipping out to HI is ridiculous. I guess the good thing is that I want a little more volume anyhow.
