Are these going to be a different version than the ones that they used to produce?

Yes, the molds for what they used before are the ones that boxology uses. It's a bit complicated, but the molds left with one of their workers, so 4080 has had to create new ones from scratch.

You will get what you pay for with speakers. Ugh.

Not with Bose - you get crap and pay out the nose. There's also plenty of good brands cheaper than ok-but-well-known brands.

However, good audio will never be cheap (unless you own a crowbar and ski-mask). Expensive audio won't necessarily be good.

Listening to $60 components makes me wonder why they don't include those in factory systems. Listening to $300 components make me wonder how good $500 components sound.

You don't get what you pay for with audio in most cases

My message was taken to literally. I didn't mean speakers that are expensive will sound good. I simply meant paying $180 for a full set of speakers is most likely going to send like $180 worth of speakers. The Bose system sounds like $180 worth of speakers.

Pioneer TS-SW2501S4 - $78 (MSRP $300)
Retail is for suckers.

It'll still sound better than the stock Bose all around.

What is the normal way people are wiring replacement front speakers? Are they using the stock wiring or running new?

If running new, how the hell do you get it from the door into the car? There aren't any accessible grommets or holes in the door frame. I tried running new wires tonight and gave up after I had the wire out the door but couldn't get it back inside the car.

I doubt they care... an Infiniti is just a Nissan, but its portrayed as "luxury" and god forbid a "luxury" vehicle(or sports luxury) has anything standard that a regular Nissan would have, it needs the best and Bose hase a reputable name... in home audio. imo FAIL on Nissan's part...

It'll probly sound fine, and better than stock, as long as he doesnt overdrive them, really just stay under their posted RMS value. as for the sub i take it he wanted to hear the bass, not feel it... I had 2 JLw3's in my Z and they BARELY shook a thing, sounded great though...
