A (possibly) unfortunate owner of a non-bose/nav stereo...

Well, seeing all these people on here complain about their bose stereos almost makes me happy to not have one, but on the same note theres not much information I can find about the base model stereo.

This is a pic of the bad boy:

Now, with this stereo what options do I have in the audio department as far as double din upgrades, speaker upgrades, sattelite radio or ipod integration and such? I know it runs an internal amplifier. Component setup possibly?

Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

Tons of options, what's your budget and what are you trying to do?

Yea, I need help with this too. I think my radio is starting to go bad, it won't play CDs that it used to. And I'm going to be changing speakers and adding subs soon. So what should I start with?

Should I just start with a new head unit? Planning on a touch screen.

Read the sticky provided at the top of the audio/video thread. Specifically, Wrathernauts shopping list. It will help you get a good idea of what needs to be done/bought.

I did look at the sticky. Are ipod adapters compatible with the base radio?

Huh. I might just have to do that. Is there enough room under the center console to run the ipod in the console box?

Yes, there's plenty of room right under the radio. I've got a Pioneer HD radio receiver down there, the steering wheel adapter box, and quite a bit of wire.

Hmm, the iPod integration cables I saw said it requires the radio to have a SAT button but the base stereo does not
