I have a 2005 Coupe that is non-bose, and it used to read CDs in all the slots (what I'm gonna call the 6 disc holders). At one point, one of the slots would error/not read my, think it was slot 3, so I would have to put that disc in another slot. But that one started back working. But now slots 4 and 5 won't read disc. But other slots can read them fine. And sometimes it will work if I eject the disc and put it back in. Is it a sign that the radio is going bad?

Good idea to start saving for a replacement now, as you've still got 5 other common errors that are likely. Mine did the same (also an 05) as it got older, random working/not working of some slots of the changer.

 

Yea, I'm planning on getting a touch screen soon anyways. Hopefully all the slots won't stop working by then. I hate radio.
