04 Bose CD semi fixed...

04 Bose CD semi fixed...

My 04 Bose system was getting very annoying when I played CDs. The driver door speakers would go in and out. Would come on only when i hit a nice big bump. Well yesterday i removed the Bose stereo and try to see if i had a CD playing and i wiggle the plugs in the rear of the stereo to see if i can duplicate the issue. Well i just ended up reseatting all the plugs and put it back together and now the system works fine. Now just got to clean the laser somehow to stop the skipping. Don't know if its just temp or resolved but it was good for a nice 2hour drive last night.

The problem when channels are going out with CDs is the ribbon cable at the bottom-front of the headunit. There's a good post on slightly trimming the cable in order to get fresh contacts to fix it semi-permanently:
