Factory SAT and additional audio source

I have read different things with using the PAC aux input adaptor as well as possibly using the other input on the factory sattelite receiver itself to plug in an additional audio source. I need to know if it is possible.

I have the factory Sat receiver and want to put a DVD player in without having to FM mod the sound from the DVD player. Is there anyway to do this?

Please advise, I am ready to install asap. Thanks for all your help.

If you already have a sat tuner, you really don't need the PAC kit, since your radio already knows the SAT tuner is there to enable the input. You don't even need a relay, cause there's one in the SAT tuner for you. Just apply +12v to pin M in the diagram, and the sat tuner will switch the audio lines to four wires on the other connector on the back of the sat tuner. You can probably find some way of getting wires on those pins.

The only real trick left is getting a differential input signal instead of the RCA one. You may be able to fudge it by putting the gnd connection to the - audio input. The PAC kit has this piece in it already, of course.

More info is here, from the guy who helped me figure all this out:

Interesting - link doesnt work tho

DJROBX - very interesting post here. I would really like to take advantage of those other 4 pins you mention on this post and the other connector on the Sat Tuner. However the web URL you provided is no longer valid. Any idea where I can get more information on that connector? Or can you post the information directly?

I have seen your switch information and that looks really cool as well but I would love to plug right into the Sat Tuner and let it to the switching for me. From what I read it sounds possible.
