one kick-*** install comin up!

well here goes:

got the g-coupe a little over 2 weeks ago and have been collecting audio gear for a fresh install. everything is ready to go and im waiting on the dash kit as the last item on the list. lemme know what ya think about the setup!

xtant x604 pushing a/d/s 346cs componets up front and a/d/s 246ix componets for rear fill. an xtant6.1 pushing 2 xtant x104s flush-mounted in the spare tire well. a batcap will also be installed to stiffen things up. all this ran by an eclipse 2494 also with optional rear view cam installed. entire car will be dynamat'ed. an external audio card will also be installed in the trunk with a usb connect up front for occasional laptop use. im also debating on installing a slim-ps2, although i can justify it unless i get headrest monitors, which in my case is useless, due to the fact i rarely have ppl in the rear. and the eclipse will be integrated with the factory nav screen for dvd usage. the nav is also getting mailed out to nav-tv for integration with the eclipse (so i can keep voice-nav). an external siris tuner will be added at a later date (i would get it done now, but my deals says eclipse will have one out with 6 months, that can be controlled by the HU)

ill keep you guys posted on the install and will have MANY pics all the way through!

Triton, please don't take offense to the following, but its a shame that you're using such high quality speakers and amps and running them off a audio/video screen. When I read that you were going to use xtant amps and a/d/s speakers I would have figured you'd be running the system with something like a Pioneer Premier DEX-P9 & DEQ-P9. But can't wait to see the finished install! Are you doing any subs?

i am also doing 2 10 inch xtant x104s flushed in spare tire well. as far as the audio/video screen, it serves my purpose. most of my music is mp3 quality anyways. i just prefer to have the double-din filled. i realize i could go with seperate HU/EQ there but id rather have the clean look. the premier stuff is excellent, just not what im looking for in this install, however i may decide after a while to swap it out. and as far as a quality wise, im also debating on adding a line driver to up the preouts. i really appreciate the advice, no offense taken.

its cool to see other ADS G'er I have 641IS and 346IM's, you will be happy with them. i was going to go with the DEX/DEQ's BUT its pretty hard to get premier stuff, and its pretty pricey besides, none of the shop in my area carries them! went with p8500 mp instade, later i change it to the AVIC N1's...i wont mention what kind of amps i am running...will make you guys laugh! talking about mis-match but for the money? cant really be happier...good luck with your install, post pics when its done.

I had an Xtant sub (X124) in my previous car and it blew.. got it replaced.. and it blew again. I don't remember the exact reason it happened, but ever since then I never went back to Xtant.

As for the a/d/s/ 346cs's, I was going to get them, but I opted for the Dynaudio 240GT's instead. They are great speakers. I heard them at an audio shop when they demo'ed it for me. Good luck with your audio install!!
