Hybrid-Audio

These are the components I think I'm going with, wanted to see who else has heard of them.
Front - Clarus
Rear - Unity

I heard them in the shop the other day and I was on the fence but now whenever I listen to my stereo I can hear the difference and it's bugging me. Guess that means I like them.

At this point, the amp I'm thinking about is either an Alpine MRX F65 or an Alpine PDX F4. That's what I liked in the shop so I figure I should like it in my car too.

I'm going to start with just the fronts and go from there.

Cool speakers

Don't need 2 pairs of components, just 1.

Step up to the legatia line and bridge the 4 channel. I'd go sundown over alpine..your dealer would probably disagree, though lol.

Word. Haha yeah the Legatia line is pretty nice but I'm not worried about winning any competitions, just want something approaching that.

I'll check out Sundown, it seems to be a popular choice here on driver. Have you heard the Legatias?

You will love the Clarus components. I almost pulled the trigger on a set of Focal 165 V30s until I heard the Clarus, they sound simply amazing. For anyone with doubts check out their reviews online.

Thumbs up

Holy fricken crap they sound sssiick!! I have the tweeters at -3db and at like 20 volume my jeans are vibrating. With no sub.

Really excited to hear it with the sub.. And then the Unity's in the back. Definitely happy with everything. Some pics..

Box

Wrapped the butt connectors in weatherstripping foam so they don't make noise. Also used that for baffle material in between the door and spacer ring as well as the spacer ring and speaker.

My sole casualty. I hate these things.

Glad you like them, can't wait to get mine in this weekend. So you did need new spacer rings? That's the one thing I need to pick up before this weekend. Also I would heed eggyhustles advice and just stick with the front soundstage plan and not install rears. Your system will sound much better unless you spend a lot of money on tuning your system.

Yes I did use two 1" spacer rings. Also I ran new speaker line from the trunk; I have the crossovers in there with the amp, so I ran 2x the speaker line (12ga). I bought 75' of it and I'd say I've got about 15' left over.

Regarding the rears - I think I'm pretty happy with the front soundstage right now. So I guess I'll just put it off until curiosity gets to me.

Thanks for the heads up and I think you'll be happy with the front set up only. Keeps the sound super clean.
