Can you fit an 06 radio into an 04?

Hey all. I've always been a little bit bummed out with the look of the 04's stock HU. I recently came across an 06 HU. It's in great condition and is selling for $150. I searched, but couldn't find any DIY retro-fit threads. I did see someone post a thread showing his retro-fitted 05 HU in a 2003. My question is, is it even possible to retro-fit the 06 HU into an 04? And if it is, will I lose any functions (AC controls, radio controls)? Thanks in advance for the responses

Putting an 05 into an 03 is the same as an 06 into an 04, and just as stupid. Considering how often factory headunits fail, you're going to go to a lot of trouble to only have to replace the headunit again in the future.

Except for some early '03s (not sure when the cutoff is), the plugs for the radios themselves will just plug & play. climate controls, aren't plug & play from what people trying 05+ climate controls in their 04-'s have reported.
