05 Sedan Factory Bose Question

I have the factory Bose system in the car and I've noticed that it has very little bottom end until you hit volume 20. Then the bass kicks up a significant amount. When you turn it down, the bass remains at an increased level relative to the volume.

To get what I consider the best sound possible from the factory setup, I have to blast the system to 20, then drop it down to whatever level I want (typically between 8 and 12). What's up with that?

Amp is probably starting to go, as it messes around a lot with the bass levels with the volume level.

There was an issue with the Bose system where the Bass/Treble settings get reset to the 0 position if you have any of the Bass/Treble settings to 5. You had to go into the settings and bring it down to 4 than back to 5 to bring it back to normal. I believe leaving it at 4 fixed this.

FYI - ^^ This fixed my problem. I set Bass at 4 and Treble at 3 and it sounds MUCH better.

Thank you!
