Sedan Rear door panels
Can someone please direct me to the DIY(if there's any) on how to remove the rear door panels for the sedan
No luck searching for it. Thanks in advance
Reggie
It's exactly the same process as removing the front door panels. You can search for that...not sure if the pictures are still up.
1- Put some masking tape on a small, fine bladed flat screwdriver.
2- Carefully pry off the cover of the inside door grab handle, starting at the small notch on the edge on the underside.
3- Once you get the door grab handle cover up a bit, pry the whole thing of with a plastic pry tool. The top has a hook, so don't pry near the top.
4-Unbolt the bolts in the door grab handle recesses
5-Use a tiny flat screwdriver, and remove the small black plastic screw cover in the door handle recess. Remove that screw.
6- Yank straight out on the borrom of the door panel. As you pull it further away, make sure you get all the plastic clips released.
7- Push up on the door panel about 2" to get it released from the window opening.
8- Pull the top of the door panel out about 2" and reach in a disconnect the two cables for the door latch. Don't worry about mixing them up, as they can only go in one way.
9- Now you must remove the electrical connection plug. I have found it easiest to rotate the whole door panel so you can see what you're doing. The is a little release on the sides of the electrical plug that you must push.
It's not a bad idea to have a few of the plastic clips that hold the panel on, on hand, as it is pretty easy to break one when taking the door off, especially if you are inexperienced. One of the tools shown below can help avoid breakage of these clips.

I would love to stop by your shop but, its too tempting :-( I might end up dropping off my car for you to work on the whole system. I will be seeing you soon though, I pretty much have all the stuff I want for my system :-)
Thanks
Reggie

It all sounds good. I'll let you know about the IVA-D901. I just put in the IVA-D300 in my Tahoe about 2 weeks ago and I am not crazy about it. I will be changing it out for the 901 as soon as I find someone who wants a slightly used 300.
