Help !

Does anybody know what is the wire runnig under the Fusiable link going to the 100amp fuse go to ? the wire is getting hot and melting the plastic around the wire. Already melted the connector that goes to the fuse and had to jump over to the top with another 100 amp fuse to get car to start, but noticed that the outer area of that fuse is starting to melt so the wire is still getting hot but not enough to blow the fuse first. If i knew what that wire was for, I could start looknig there for the short or problem part.

Don't have any pictures, but if you look at the positive battery terminal there's a fusible link with 5 fuses made into it. One on top and four on the face don't remember the exact amp of the others but the 100 amp fuse is on the right, under that is i believe a white wire. That wire is whats getting hot and melting and i'm trying to figure out what's that wire for inorder to narrow my search area for the reason why it's getting hot enough to melt but not blow the fuse.
