quick bose rewire
quick bose rewire
ok so just installed avic-z1 in my 04 g35x and figured id chuck the bose amp. I'm not sure if anyone else tried going my route but it was super fast. I used a 70-7550 to wire the avic to car and at the bose amp i hooked the inputs to the outputs, Sounds great and the install was quick and clean.
OUTPUT
FR BROWN+ BLACK/RED-
FL BLUE+ BLACK/WHITE-
RR ORANGE+ BLACK/PINK-
RL LIGHT GREEN + BLACK/YELLOW-

What did you do with the factory woofer? disconnected completely?
This is a great shot to show the re-wire to get around the bose amplifier:

I intend to steal it for showing other people how it's done.

I have a question for you! I also used the 70-7550 with a JVC double din I installed. I have the aftermarket amp hooked up to the headunit, but I think my bose amp is also getting power from the headunit, maybe you had the same problem, but my sub now does not hit nearly as hard with both amps in. If I take the bose amp out, will my speakers still work? Because I pulled out both plugs from the amp and my speakers stopped working, and also, do you think that will fix my problem with my aftermarket amp not getting as much power? Thanks!
And also, I looked in my trunk, but I can't find all of the said wires you listed that need to be connected. Are all of the wires listed part of the two connector clips that connect to the amps? My wire setup in my trunk looks a lot different than yours!
