Hey guys I'm new in here. I recently bought a 04 G35, I'm very happy with it. However I had my mechanic install a pioneer AVIC 940BT, he said in order for me to watch videos while driving he needed to use the red "mute" wire in order to bypass the breaks. I dont have a problem with that but when he installed the Axxess Steering wheel controls, everything worked but the Power button. The Power button does nothing. Can anybody tell me a better way to bypass the break in order to watch videos but also keep the "power button" to mute the 940BT. Please some one help. Thank you!

 

MOST mechanics don't know squat about mobile electronics! As far as I can tell the auto detect mode must not detect the power button and you would have to manually program the steering wheel controls. That is completely separate from bypassing the video!! We don't carry Pioneer but from the installation manual you should be able to ground the brake wire and be good to go. I would NOT have the speed sense wire hooked up as it also detects motion. The GPS might be a little less accurate but which is more important to you only you can decide. Hope you get it figured out!!!
