Climate Control Stuck / Stereo inoperable

Please help me with this problem.

Background: Bought a 2003 G35 Sedan in March of this year.
When I bought it CD player didn't work; No problem, cassette adapter+ipod=good.

After about a month, occasionally, the A/C (climate control) would stick on where it was last left but would usually resume normal function once the engine was turned off and back on.
The problem became more frequent, and digressed to the CC being stuck and losing the display on the stereo, although the stereo still worked.
Now, the CC has been stuck for about 2 weeks and my stereo has been totally kaput for a week.

I remember reading something about an interface board or something before but can't find anything about this type of problem now.

Thoughts? Has anyone had a similar problem? What do I need to do?

Thank you for your help

Joint the (VERY large) club.

Best option is to get an aftermarket radio and trim conversion kit.
Start here:
https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...urce-list.html

Very basic conversion is about $180 for a basic CD player and aftermarket trim kit, price going up on the features and radio you want.
For a JDM (OEM) trim kit, you're looking at about $325 + the cost of whatever radio you want.

My recommendation is the JDM trim and about $350 on a nicely featured radio without navigation for about $700 complete, if you do the install yourself.

You can always keep an eye out in the marketplace or eBay for an OEM radio, but they're all prone to the same failure you've just experienced. Replacing just the control board *might* solve your problem, but the bad power circuit that toasted your original control board is still there, ready to fry the next one.

There's some places that can fix the power circuit for under $200 on your stock radio, but you'll still be faced with the mechanical failures (disc read and changer mechanism) down the road, so I don't support dumping any money to maintain the factory radio system at all.

For a possible temporary fix bang on the side of your console. Don't laugh, this has worked for a lot of members here. Try it on both sides if the first side doesn't fix the issue. HTH.
