2003 G35 Amplifier Replacement
2003 G35 Amplifier Replacement
I just bought a 2003 g35 sedan and the audio doesn't work in the car. The radio station still shows up and it shows how long a cd has been playing, but no sound comes out. The guy I bought it from said it is just the amplifier that is out and if I get that replaced it'll work again. I am wondering if anyone knows more about this and if that is the real problem? If so, any suggestions on a particular amp and how much will it cost to replace? I just got the car so I don't know to much about it so any input will help. Thank you!
I'm in the same boat! Proz plz help!
I have an '04 G35 Sedan and the other day all the speakers just stopped working. The H/U is working fine. It acts as tho it is still playing a CD, listening to sattellite radio, A/C works as normal... there is just no sound coming out of the speakers. How can I tell if there is something wrong with the H/U or the Bose AC300 amp in the trunk?!
If anybody has any ideas I'm all ears!!!
OR if anybody knows of a good audio/radio places in the Seattle, WA area that works on Infiniti radios a lot I would be willing to beef up my cars audio setup for the right price?!
THANKS!!!

The simplest replacement is a cheap used factory amp, they're more reliable than the headunits, so it'll probably be ok.
To upgrade though, simplest option is a JL amp, as they take the bose headunit's differential-balanced signal. You'll need a 5 or 6 channel amp, like this one: http://www.woofersetc.com/p-5584-a64...amplifier.aspx and an amp wiring kit. It'll be good for powering some good aftermarket speakers, and compatible with an aftermarket headunit too for when the factory headunit goes out.
