Backup Camera Wiring

I just installed a backup camera however I am having trouble wiring it. I've read that I need to tap into the reverse wire, however I went through many wires and couldn't figure out which one is it. My cameras wire is designed to be wired in the trunk, so the wire under the hood or dash is not a possibility. Any ideas?

Just use the reverse light power wire to power your camera. If you're looking for the trigger wire for a stereo to switch, you'll want the wire in the driver's kick panel as a trigger. If you need a power wire for the screen, the radio's switched power wire or the cigarette lighter's power can be tapped.

Also check how its setup on your head unit. Sometimes you can set to different polarity to trigger the camera to come on.
