Front door speaker and tweeter crossover

I decided to replace both my 6.5" front door speaker as well as my front tweeters. I bought a 6.5 component package which includes the tweeters. The set comes with a crossover which will cut out the high's on both the 6.5" and the tweeter, but in the manual you hook up the line in to the 6.5 to the crossover, then from the crossover to 6.5 and the tweeter. I'm using the factory bose amp and my question is does the tweeter have a direct wire from the amp itself or does it power off of the 6.5" as well? Also if the tweeter does have a separate line from the amp will it be able to be put on the crossover with the line for the 6.5 and then 2 lines out from the crossover to the speakers? Or do I choose only one either 6.5 or the tweeter to be intercepted by the crossover? the tweeter has 2 cut settings 0db or -6db was going to use the -6db, also what if I dont use the crossover at all does that allow the tweeter to be blown or degrade sound quality?

The set I bought is JBL P660c

Found out tweeters and 6.5's connected together coming out of the amp so I should be able to just connect both feeds under the same terminals of the crossover without any issues....?

use the factory speaker's input to go to the cross over's input. Run new wire from the cross over to the new speaker and tweeter.
