Pioneer head unit trouble..

I have had the Pioneer AVH4200 installed in my car for quite sometime and the last few months it has been randomly cutting out power for a few hours or a day or so and then reseting back to demo mode. which was pissing me off but never got around to figuring the problem. I just got back in town after not driving my car for 2 weeks and of course it doesn't turn on so I've driven the last 4 days i figured it would come on again and it still hasn't come on....

What could possibly be the problem? I'm going to try and just unplug and replug everything this weekend to make sure connections are good other than that I don't know much about stereos...

Any help is appreciated!

No loose connectors or anything like that?

Have you called Pioneer about the issue?

Really just sounds like the harness on the back or the ground is loose, but the harnesses themselves would be difficult to get loose, so it's probably the ground, or the butt connectors connecting the two harnesses together that's the problem. Another reason why soldering + heatshrink is the recommended way to do it.

If that's not the problem, chances are it's the radio itself. Being a 4200 series, that'd put it at 2 years old, outside of the 1-year warranty offered by Pioneer.
