I have to say of all the GPS's we've had this one is the strangest to use. Wondering if the upgrades changed it any?

Then too I'm tired of having the Nav thinking I'm driving through fields!!

No, the factory nav is terrible compared to aftermarket navigation, and much more expensive to maintain. For $150 or so, you can get a garmin unit with traffic updates and free map upgrades for life.

Garmin makes a lot of models that are cordless, most GPS manufacturers do these days. Mine runs for about 4 hours on a charge.
