Bose Audio draining battery

Bose Audio draining battery
I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I can't seem to find a straight forward answer. The battery on my 04 coupe gets drained after sitting for a few days, and after reading a bunch of different threads, it usually comes down to the Bose stereo amp. Supposedly it never turns off; even when the car is off, the amp remains on, draining the battery.
Now, I've heard of people taking the radio fuse out, other people say they had to completely purchase a new stereo. Straight forward: How could this be fixed??? Is there a way to fix the cables that don't recognize when the car gets turned off to turn off the amp... WHAT CAN I DO?!
