missing module that goes to navigatin
Hey guys i have a 2005 g35 coupe 6mt with navigation, i bought my G with the nav not working dealer said the motor was bad... Any way i swaped the stock radio for a dd so i thought i would look at the nav while i had it apart. Upon inspection i found that there are 3 plugs that go toward the Back of the nav and a module should be attached to the back of the nav. Well mine is missing nothing is attached to the slit in the back and the plug that goes from the nav controls to the nave itself is not attached to any thing. Any one no where i could order this part or have a picture of what im talking about so i know im not going crazy. Also i was wondering if i could provide power to the nav unit to see if it works but i am un sure on how to proceed with that. Any help would be appreciated guys.
My bad. You should try a search for "Wrathernaut"
He is the go-to guy and has posted a lot of threads with detailed pics OEM audio eq. One of the threads might have a pic that may prove useful.

The display unit only has one harness that goes into it.
So the only thing that comes close to being a "module" that plugs in is the GPS antenna.
If you're calling harnesses "modules" then if your car came equipped with the navigation system, they're there somewhere,.
There's no way anybody in their right mind is going to remove the wiring harness and replace it; it involves many, many hours of labor, and looks about like this:

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if you were to discover that somebody bought the new radio with the navigation screen and control unit with the intention of installing it, and about half way through, gave up and just left the control unit and display in there.
Thanks for the knowledge, they said you were the man to talk too. The infiniti dealer i bought it from i assume tried to fix it and gave up just like you said. Question remains im missing some sort of device on the back of my nav and im going to take a picture when i take it apart to put in my jdm dd kit and bypass switch. So i can show u the g wiring guru what im missing. Unless you have a pic of the nav from the back with the harness attached....????

The circled one is the harness for the navigation unit.

And the navigation control unit:

Here's somebody's test-fit of the hacked up harness from retrofitting OEM navigation - the only part missing is the GPS antenna and the final harness that plugs into the red circled bit in one of the previous photos.

Don't even bother, the factory navigation is terrible.
