Okay I already blew my DB6501's, they cant handle my bass taste. Im running stock Bose HU, I got a 500/1 running my subs and 300/2 running the two front sets of the DB's. Question is how do I cut off the bass to the front speakers so that my subs in the rear handle the bass, only way im able to achieve this is to lower the bass on the HU, but then my subs lack what I want.. also, I like my music loud, and heavy bass, i think i made a mistake in buying components, do you guys think getting 2 way speakers would have been a better choice?

 

On the 300/2 in the amp filter controls, set filter mode to HP at about 55-80hz (Freq range x1, arrow pointed at the desired freq) to keep the bass out of the front speakers.

 

Those polks aren't meant to get loud.

They're entry level speakers.

Revamp your setup.

 

do you suggest a two way speaker set up? i like my music <b>LOUD

 

I'd suggest a better component set with more power handling and another amp

 

a nice head unit would help too!
