Any great iPhone 5 iPod Kits Available?

Taking a glance through iPod connector kits is overwhelming. Few questions on the 2006 with Bose and XM/Sirius:

1. Any options where I can retain satellite, CD changer, and iPhone connectivity easily?

2. Any options that can charge an iPhone 5 while doing so?

I've found this: http://www.pac-audio.com/productDeta...&CategoryID=45

Downside being that it's basically a dumb aux connection piece (or possibly an upside since the iPod connector on the S4 was so unintuitive).

Am I missing some options that should be looked over? Thanks!

I like the iSimple one, but after serious consideration I am shopping for a double din Instead. The head unit will turn belly up eventually

Just can't justify the price on doing something other than OEM unfortunately. And I am a bit of a stickler about keeping everything as OEM+ as possible and no double DIN head unit has ever blown me away in regards to design and intuitive cohesiveness as a stock unit does.

Miracast mirrors your cell phone onto the in dash stereo screen with some aftermarket stereos. I love my smartphone and couldn't think if anything better.

I also see where your coming from. The satellite piece you have selected inhibits use of the satellite radio however :/. They have an accessory iPod kit that allows you to control the music playing from the iPod (only) through the 3.5mm jack. Found that at best buy.

Will check out the Miracast options. I tend to roll through cars pretty quick so I try and not get too crazy with aftermarket stuff just to make the transitions quicker.

Any more info on the accessory iPod kit?

Appreciate the time on the responses brother.

I think there's only one miracast option (Eonon M1), and iDevices don't use miracast. Miracast is video and audio only, but there's a few coming out with MirrorLink, which does video + control of the phone. But again, iDevices don't support it.

If you want the best option for display mirroring and control of an iPhone5, check into the Pioneer AppRadio3. There's some 3rd-party apps that let you use any app on it, versus just the Pioneer-approved ones.

Whenever I see a stock radio after looking at double-din installs all day, they look like they don't fit in design at all.

That Pioneer unit looks pretty effin awesome. It does look like you lose both CD and Sat function though is that correct? Retain steering wheel functions?

*edit* found the option with CD included. No mention of Sat though.

Well, you won't keep factory satellite radio with any aftermarket radio, they have a version with CD (APPRADIO 3 SPH-DA210), but it's $100 more than the non-CD version.

There is the SiriusXM app for both iOS and Android, so you can get access to satellite radio stations that way if you're not happy with any of the free streaming radio options. Sonicelectronix shows it as being SiriusXM ready, but I didn't see anything on Pioneer's site about it, and can't find anything about it elsewhere, so I think the app is the only way.

Steering wheel functions are retained just like other Pioneer radios with the Metra Axxess ASWC-1.
