I bought a Bose 04 Radio/6CD Player with Faceplate + Circuit Board, but it did not include the Plastic Trim Dash/Bezel.

I came across some problems. Everything fits in my 03 G35 Sedan, Except I have two problems. The 04 Faceplate would not fit in my 03 Headunit Trim/Bezel. The buttons are slightly higher... Also the CD Slot is about a 1/4 inch higher... It will not take CD's..

I had to use my 03 Faceplate with the 04 Radio in my 03 Trim... However no CD because it doesn't align...

Does anyone know if I purchase the Plastic Trim for the 04 that it will solve my problem?

 

Early '03s radios were different from late 03s and 04s, that's why many compatibility charts say their products are incompatible with 03s. The radios have a different layout, but are the same dimensions and mounting points.

So yes, if you get the 04 faceplate trim, it will solve your problems and fit.

 

Thanks for the reply, It fixed my A/C problem, I had to drive a week with A/C on full blast..
It''s installed in my car so listening to tape and ipod way so far..

Looking for a 04 Trim. Do you know if coupes and sedan trims fit the same?

 

Yes. Coupe/Sedan interior are the same year-to-year except for '07+
