Exclamation 05 6MT Rear Camera in Wing advice needed.

I just received a small triangle chrome camera very similar to the stock G37. I would like to install it in the wing. I wonder if anyone has done this and can give me clues on any issues I might doing this install. I figure I unbolt the wing, remove the back up LED stop light for access. Then drill a 1/8 inch hole to slide the camera bolt through, a drop of silicone on the hole for water proofing, put the lock washer and nut. I just wonder how hard it is going to be to snake the camera wires in the wing and into, through the rubber grommet and into the trunk? If I miss something please let me know.

Some thin fish tape should make short work of running the wires.

Is it possible to mount the camera to the LED strip? I'd go that way before cutting into the spoiler itself.

Thanks for the reply.... There is 1 1/2 inch strip between the LED strip and the trunk, the camera takes up 1 1/4 inch. That would be a perfect location if there is no obstructions in that area. Seems it would be smart to find out the answer by removing the LEDs and looking around. I assume you can access the LED cover screws from the under side once you remove the wing from the trunk?

You might want to ask around in the lighting subforum, they might be more helpful. With working around that light.
