high pass--sub install???
high pass--sub install???
ok, for all you guys that have installed an amp and subs how are you getting a TRUE sub signal? if you are using a line out converter from the stereo high pass, you are getting high pass signal thru your subs which doesnt sound very good, are you tapping into the sub speaker line in the car?, if there even is one. i am installing my subs and amps now and am trying to decide how i want to do it. i am thinking about using the LOCs, possibly a 4 channel, but i dont want high pass thru my subs, what i will probably do is put a LOC in then go thru a clarion 920eq that will split the signals into high front, high rear, and subwoofer, which should give the best results. any input appreciated, ill post pics when done, thanks
Re: high pass--sub install???
Umm, the signal out of the headunit is full range. I dont know where you got your info, but its incorrect. The amp does the eq/ xover processing. Use a VEN4 LOC (not some cheap POS), wire it in before the amp then go out to your outboard EQ/Xover with RCAs.
