Help with complete audio upgrade

Hey guys I have a 03 sedan and am sick and tired of the radio. So I'm ready to upgrade it. I have knowledge about car audio but not much hands on experience. So first I was going to replace the stock cassette player with a double din and the metra kit. Then for the front doors the alpine type s 6.5 components. And the coaxial 5.25 for the rear. Then have the Rockford Fosgate pbr300.4 pushing the doors. And then for bass. I'm going with the alpine type r 12's 2ohm. I was going to run the 2 subs off a power acoustik gt1-4500d which pushes 2200 rms at 2ohm. Please tell me how this sounds and if it should work. Thanks

Check out the stickies in this section on how to upgrade to a double din, the shopping list is included. As for the new speakers, you will definitely need to purchase an aftermarket amp, but you don't need to run new wires.

You have to take off a lot of panels to do an audio overhaul

Two subs might be a bit overpowering, but Check out the 4080 boxes for the trunk. They are custom made to hold 12" subs.

I do have an amp for the door speakers. The Rockford punch 300x4. 75w per channel. And I found a box that would fit both subwoofers necessities on ssupercrewsound.com. I went with one shallow mount type r 12 in my truck and want more bass so thought I would go all out this time.

Great great! Where will you mount the amps? Some people mount them in place of the spare to save trunk space.

Don't run rear coaxials. Just put more power to good speakers up front.

Front soundstage is how you experience life and how the music was mastered to be heard. Surround sound is for movies mastered in 5.1, not music mastered in 2.
