Hey guys, I am installing a Pioneer double din stereo into my 06 G35 Coupe.

I have plugged everything in and the unit turns on but the sound does not come out.

I would like to just have a few things addressed as i can not find the information anywhere else!

The OEM radio has four places where wires are clipped into the back and only two for the new stereo leaving two just hanging around.

Is that a reason why the stereo will not output?

Another thing.
There are several wires that do not have a home and I am curious if that might be a reason why.

According to forums the Blue and the Blue/Black wires don't have to be hooked up. I am not sure if this is true or not.

I have basically no experience with electrical wiring and am hitting a brick wall.

Also the steering wheel controls are not working. I was wondering if that is because one of those extra things are lying around.

 

Solved the issue. The speakers now work. Thanks to Wrathernaut's post. The antenna power needs to be connected with the switched power.

 

what do you mean by this? i think this could very well fix my issue as well. i just followed the instructions for lining everything up but sounds doesn't come out of my speakers

which pioneer double din did you get and how do you like it

 

i actually didn't get the same radio receiver as ^. i got an alpine UTE-52BT. haven't gotten to try it out yet! haha
