If I was starting from scratch today I would have choosen a premade enclosure instead. I had to give up my car for two days while the installers created my sub enclosure.

BTW - FireFox users should no longer have difficulties viewing my site.

Here is a pic of a 4080 box installed in my coupe.......excellent construction and well worth the money......this pic was a month or so ago with a lanzar 10" sub......I have upgraded to a diamond audio 10" sub and had to add a 1/2 inch mdf ring since the diamond sub was a little taller, but very easy to add.....the bass is nice and tight

The aluminum mounting bracket needs to go under the rubber weather stripping. Lift the rubber stripping and slide it over the box AND the metal pinch moulding. This will ensure that the box will not move around, plus no tools needed to remove.

blksnake.........sorry to highjack this thread

4080.....the aluminum mounting bracket is actually under the rubber weather stripping....it just won't stay under there....as i drive the car it will work its way out.....i think it is because i dont have the g35 trunk mat and also due to the extra thickness of the carpet underlayment i added under the trunk panels for sound deadening.......i plan on purchasing a trunk mat soon to see if this will help..........

Yes you are right. The box is designed to work with both trunk mats.

I had a local shop create it for me. If you're from the LA area I can recomend a few places.

4080,
Don't hijack my thread. If you want to discuss your enclosure, start your own.

Sorry junior, Shooter was asking me a question and I simply answered. Ummm...I remember when you were posting remarks about your sub enclosure on my threads.

Good luck, 4080

even though I love my 4080 sub box, I would of rather had this box everything would of been hidden since I placed both of my amps in the spare tire well. blksnake how much is your box?

nismoGcoupe,
The sub enclosure was part of the total system installation (2 amps, LOC, component set etc.) which I paid ~$700. I'm sure any qualified installer could duplicate it for you.

4080,
Here are my remarks on your enclosure:
