Mysterious audio input in 2005 G35 coupe

I've done a lot of googling and I can't for the life of me find any information about this audio input port in my center storage bin. There's nothing in the owner's manual either from what I can tell. I bought this car three months ago and just noticed this audio input when I was sorting through the pens I keep in the storage bin.

Here's my center console with the storage bin opened.

Here's the view into the storage bin.

And here's a close-up shot of the audio input.

I've tried cycling through every mode and pressing every button on the radio. How do I switch to aux/this audio input?

If it's aftermarket, what would be a logical way for it to be set up?

Looks like one of those FM things. Try plugging in your device, switch to the ON position and tune until you hear your music. I had one installed in my car before I got rid of the stock system.

You might try the preset/saved FM stations. Chances are it's already saved on your stereo.

Almost certainly a PAC Audio iSimple IS77. The two FM station options for it are 87.9 or 88.3. Apply an audio signal through the 3.5mm plug and switch the power to ON and tune the radio to those stations to determine which one it is. When the switch is ON you won't get any FM stations, as it disables the antenna input and replaces it to get a cleaner signal.

Yep, you guys are all right. Tuning it to 87.9 FM allows aux playback. Thanks, everyone!
