help wiring amplifier

help wiring amplifier

just got a soundstream van gogh 500.4..... i have the first two channels going to my diamond audio hex components and the other two channels i wanna bridge to my rockford p3 sub in 4080s box.... should i switch the amp into 3 way mode.. or leave it in four.... i don't quite know what that means... if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.... thanks

...pretty sure 3-way mode is what youre looking for.

positive to one channel and negative to the other channel...??
but dont take my word for it, not a professional...

Not familiar with the amp. Talk to the soundstream dealer or consult the owners manual.

I used to sell SoundStream amps back in the day. You want to run the 3-way mode. Use the 2 outside speaker terminals to "bridge" the sub. This will maximize the wattage to 500 and make the subwoofer mono so it picks up both the right and left channels.

thanks

i just wasn't sure what 3 way mode meant..... i figured it meant 1st two channels run in stereo and the last 2 run in bridged mono.... guess i was right.... also one other question there's an att switch which states for high output voltage or something like that ..... anyone know if i should put that on or leave it off....????

Depends on what type of head unit or line output converter you are using.

ATT switch on if the head unit or line ouput converter produces 4-12 volts through the RCA's. Otherwise have it off.
