Bluetooth for G35

Does anyone know about a Handsfree Connectivity set up for a 2005 G35 sedan? I have looked at www.say-parrot.com and they have some kits but I wondered if anyone has gotten one on a G. Also, now that the new M has Bluetooth I wonder if Infiniti can add it on later at the Dealer. I know BMW can now add it on to 2003 models and newer.

Raytell makes a blue tooth kit that is really nice that reads your phone book on the screen. Check it out:

I installed Parrot's CK3100 in my coupe in the stock ashtray location. See the attached pic.

The phonebook automatically syncs w/ my SE-T637 which is a nice feature. The display is also useful for seeing who's calling, picking entries out of the phonebook, etc. You can wire it inline w/ the existing speakers or use a separate external speaker. I installed an external speaker in the sunglass holder and the microphone near the card holder above the driver's window. I've been pretty happy with it. The only complaint I have is that the other party has mentioned that there's noise sometimes when I'm at above 35 to 40 mph. I guess some road noise is expected w/ any handsfree kit though.

Johnboy,

If you don't mind asking, how much did you pay for the parrot?

I am intested in a HF Bluetooth as well, and heard good things about parrot.

thanks

I paid about $185 + shipping for mine from Expansys when they first started carrying them. The price on their site has gone up to $219 now though.

yep.. it'd be awesome if aftermarket stereo manufacturers would start making bluetooth kits to integrate w/ their headunits. If Kenwood made one that worked w/ the ddx7015, I'd buy one right away. They just came out w/ an iPod adapter so maybe there's hope for a bluetooth adapter.

Yo JohnBoy, that's the exact unit and type of installation I was planning on. Nice Job. Now I'm definitely going to do it. The display screen is great, I'm pissed that more handsfree bluetooth kits do not offer it.

Johnboy,

Thanks for the info...I went to Expansys's site and saw a review that the build quality isn't up to par. Is that true?

Thanks
mike

The installation in the ashtray wasn't too difficult. I cut a piece of abs plastic to fill the hole where the ashtray was and hot-glued it to the trim panel. I chose to mount the microphone by the card holder and the external speaker in the sunglasses holder so there was a little wiring for that.

I haven't had any problems or issues w/ quality. Mine only complaint is that sometimes road noise is heard on the other end at higher speeds. Since I bought mine, they have released 2 firmware updates (which I installed over Bluetooth) so they're still actively supporting it.

How did you use the ISO plugs that comes with Parrot kit? Is the G head unit compactible with ISO plugs?
