Hey all

Looking to replace the tired steering wheel in my 04 6mt sedan with a really good salvage Unit from an auto 06 X sedan.

The switches are slightly different and of course the 06 has buttons for the phone while the 04 does not.

I don't care if the phone switches work. But are the other controls a direct swap? Same molex connectors? I want the stereo switches and cruise control switches to work.

 

it should work fine. check the order of the colored wires for the connectors, if they arent in the same order you will need to depin and reorder but i think they should be in the same order. the connectors are the same

also, you can swap your old switches onto the new wheel as well

Never even thought about using the old switches. Hahaha that would be the easiest solution.

I think the switches in the 06 are illuminated, though. Not sure.
