g35 Clock light question

g35 Clock light question

I removed the clock to get access to the radio on my 2003 g35. I ended up installing APPS2CAR usb/sd/aux adapter which is amazing!


Anyway when putting it all back together... the clock lights do not work. The clock itself works... just not the lights.


I am thinking it's a wiring issue, I mean.. no way the bulbs burnt out exactly when I'm working on the radio?


Anyone have a diagram of the clock plug... which wire is responsible for what...

Front and rear cameras, tire pressure for all four tires can display on screen,folding side view mir

ILLUMINATION OPERATION BY LIGHTING SWITCH
With the lighting switch in the 1ST or 2ND position (or if the auto light system is activated), the BCM (body
control module) receives input signal requesting the illumination lamps to illuminate. This input signal is com-
municated to the IPDM E/R (intelligent power distribution module engine room) across the CAN communica-
tion lines. The central processing unit of the IPDM E/R controls the tail lamp relay coil, which, when energized,
directs power

through terminal 37 of the IPDM E/R

to combination meter terminal 32,

to NAVI control unit terminal 9 (with navigation system),

to NAVI switch terminal 2 (with navigation system),

to display and A/C auto amp terminal 28,

to A/C and audio controller terminal 9,

to audio unit terminal 8,

to clock (illumination) terminal 4

to VDC off switch (illumination) terminal 3

Use your multi-meter to test the wiring

telcoman ... thats impressive mph .. 87 octane... hmmmm

Why do you need a clock light anyway?

Faaget about it!

Not worth the hassle.
