Setting Voltage on Navone LOC

How do we set the voltage on the David Navone NE-77V Line Output Converter? I currently have it tapped right after the stock bose headunit and turned the gains about 80% up and ran the RCAs to my eclipse amp and some songs sound like CRAP.

I know the instructions say to turn the voltage up to MAX, but I am not quite sure this is the way to go for our bose head units? Anyone else have experience with this? Much thanks.

I currently have mine set all the way to max and I have no audible distortion. I haven't really taken the time to set up my gains correctly though.

I measured the voltage output from the stock HU using an oscilliscope and it only measures 2.2V peak to peak! (I used and IASKA Test CD) I have my HU output going straight into my xover.....no LOC required!

If you need to turn the LOC all the way up, what is it doing for you?.......adding a LOC in our system only adds another set of connections that could cause future problems and adds costs (not much I admit, but what is it doing?)

IMO a LOC is not required with the low level output form our stock HU........
