Remove spare tire, put Amps there?
Since i will be putting in a JL Audio 500/1, a 300/4, a cap, the JL Audio clean sweep (when it comes out) and my Phatbox, I have more or less decided to remove the spare tire and pu all the amps and stuff there.
Anyone see any problems with this, other than the obvious of not having a spare tire? I have roadside assistance through USAA, and will have a can of fix a flat with me at all times. Will the amps get enough air to not get too hot?
Any other ideas?
Thanks
Dave

Cooling will be your biggest challenge. If stealth is the reason for using the spare well, consider mounting the amps to the back seat and building a facade to conceal the amps. This will give you a spare, conceal your amps, and allow for better cooling. Take care.

A have done a few G's with a Memphis 5 channel under the plastic piece to the left of the spare. It fits well, is hidden and has no heat problems. The amp is the mini belle hybid amp 55 watts x 4 ab class and a mono 400 watt d class. Nice amp runs about $600 and has a 3 year warranty.
