05' Coupe Basslink Installed.

I just installed a Basslink in my 05' Coupe. After hours of pondering where to place the gain adjuster, I decided under the ignition switch would be best. This has worked out great due to using an ipod. I am constantly having to adjust the bass.

I installed the ipod using a PAC and belkin auto kit.

Finally, I stuffed the sub in the drivers side rear. Tying into the rear speakers for audio. I ran the power down the passenger side and the remote down the drivers side.

All in all, this made the horrible sounding Bose system a little more bearable. I would suggest this combination to anyone with this system. Outside of getting rid of the entire system. This was not an option for me as I plan on getting rid of the car in under two years (leased it.)

I was just wondering how it sounds. Does the bass come through from the trunk? I put one of these in my stepdaughters car (Mazda MP5) and it sounds great but it is a hatchback. I was just sceptical about how sealed the trunk is in the G and if the bass carries through.

The bass passes through the rear seat with no problem. It sound great for a low priced integrated subwoofer. The bass is not very accurate, kind of muddy, but it does have enough power to vibrate the mirrors if that is what you want. I would not expect it to sound as good as a custom built enclosure powered with a nice amp. But then again, if that is what you are looking for, I would just pull the entire system out and start from scratch.
