Disconnect rear side speakers or 6x9's?

I searched for an answer so I apologize if this has been addressed.

I have the 04 G coupe with Bose and 8 speakers. I'm going to keep the Bose HU but add an amp, speakers and sub. I already have 6.5 inch components for the front, 6.5 inch coax for the rear and 6x9's for the rear deck from other cars I had, so I'm not buying anything new.

I'm wondering if I should just leave the stock rear 6.5 side speakers in but disconnected and utilize the front door and rear deck speakers, or replace and connect the rear side speakers and leave a hole where the 6x9's go in the rear deck (for bass from the trunk) or replace and connect all of the speakers?

Any thoughts on this?

Has anyone just connected the front and 6x9's only?

Has anyone just connected the front and rear side 6.5's?

I'm thinking I would just replace the front and 6x9's and not even bother with the 6.5's in the side. It seems like the rear side 6.5's might add too much stray sound waves, but I don't really know.

I was planning on something similar. I was going to just use the rear speakers for "fill" anyway.

If you want to add a sub I would disconnect the 6x9s
