Does anyone know if getting a remote start alarm like Autopage would void any car warranties. I just got my G 3months ago and am getting some weird grinding noises at start up and want to make sure that getting a remote start won't void warranties.

 

Had mine installed right after i bought the car. the brand is code alarm. It was installed by experienced professionals. It will not void your warranty. Be damn sure the installer puts in an anti-grind circuit. That way if you accidentally turn the key when the motor is running you wont damage the starter and/or flywheel. Good luck.

 

Here's the thing. I took it to the dealer today to get that grind checked out and then asked them if getting an alarm would void the warranty. They said "No, as long as no electrical wires are cut and nothing is Bypassed". WTF does that mean? In order to do any alarm, don't you need to bypass things?
