I have looked and can't find any info regarding keeping steering wheel controls with aftermarket head units. I am considering getting the Alpine IVA-D901 because it has the best screen that I have seen anywhere but I would still like to be able to control atleast the volume from the steering wheel controls. Is there anything that interfaces with the controls?

 

You are gonna need to get a PAC Audio SWI-X for your steering wheel controls. I have mine, but I have yet to install it (no time!)

Grider-did you do the install yourself, if so, how did you get the infrared remote eye up there? Did you use extra wire to make it up there? Do ya have a DIY for this, or any key tips to doing it? I am planning on doing it this weekend, so any help is greatly appreciated.
