**12'' Audiobahn Subwoofer in Coupe!!**

Hey what's up guys, my friend just purchased this subwoofer from ebay and needs a good amplifier to power it up. The sub is a 12 inch Audiobahn ALUM12Q that is rated at 1000 watts RMS. He drives a G35 Coupe and has the bose speakers included in the premium package. He isn't looking for a $1000 competition amplifier just something good enough to make it pound. Please give me some advice on which amp he should go with, thanks.

I noticed that this Audiobahn sub has dual 6 ohm voice coils. I would run the voice coils in parallel(I think that's right) to get it to run at 3 ohms. Then you just need to find an amp that's stable with a 2-4 ohm load. Not many people know about Elemental Designs. I have heard and done some installs with their subs and amps which are excellent purchases for the money. The produce and handle GREAT power. ED has a mono block amp the NINe.1 which says it does about 900 watts at 2 ohms and 450 at 4 which puts that at about 675 watts at 3 ohms. That would make that sub pound. Best of all, their website lists the MSRP at around $350.00 for that amp. I bet you can find it cheaper. Check it out....

Sounds good, thanks. Ya I was actually considering an entire setup by ED I have been on their forums before and they seem to have good support from the users. I'll check it out, anyone else have any amp recommendations?

Many ppl think audiobahn's stuff are weak well they kida right, but as long as you know what you are buying? then it should be alright , I am planning on change out pretty soon.
Just about any amp will be good for that sub, just get tons of wattage to it.
You sure you didnt purchase that sub?
