Hey guys (namely ones using an FM mod for DVD)

When you have a quiet track playing and have the volume loud (like >22-25), do u get a lot of background noise? I was wondering if it was inheriant in an FM modulator or my unit is crap or its noisy wiring.

If you have to turn the radio up that loud, your lineout signal is probably not strong enough. Maybe try using the headphone jack and adjusting the volume on your device so that it's roughly equal volume to the car's radio or cd player, otherwise you're sending over too-quiet a signal, and boosting it too much, which amplifies the background noise.
