We have another one.
G35kid18: Get your flame suit ready.... And then I suggest you read the very first post (Sticky) in this forum for the info you need. There is more than info in there which I myself have posted. All the models and various prices are there too.
If you need to purchase a unit, I offer discounted prices on the AV and PAC units (I am a dealer for both of the makes).

sorry, I have been slacking. I have been the Navi to DVD police for a long time now, and usually get to these posts before anyone else!
You see, back in the olden days we used to have this question asked at LEAST once a week. Well, one person eventaully got sick of it and created an 'all in one' thread. The kind folks at this forum even stickied it at the top of this section for ALL to see.
Ever since then the G35 community has been closer. We have all came together and embraced the sticky, and in the process saved G35driver bandwidtchand its members countless hours of time reading reposted questions. I myself have found that my posts now have a happier undertone and are less sarcastic.
However, not all members have found this 'thread of threads.' the Holy Grail of all things Visual. Some people don't even think it exists, they think its existances is all rumors. Its these people who will never be fortunate enough to experiance the total enlightenment that The Sticky has to offer.
I dream of a day when ALL members of the community will take the time to find AND read the DVD sticky from page one until page 5, and every page in between. Until this happens we will be a divided community, and the universe will spin on its awkward axis.
For those of you who believe the thread I speak of is a fabled lie I will tlel you I've read the thread. I have posted in the thread. I started the thread. It DOES exist. It IS very informative. It speaks of AV electronics and Pac audio and video adapters/ It speaks of R and G and B conversions. It is what it is. The answer to all your questions. The light at the end of the tunnel. The song for your fat lady to sing. The Mecca of component conversion in the G35 (both coupe and sedan).
However, the thread does miss several key points. These points, though, were left out purposely. There is much knowledge held by the vetrens of said conversion and we feel that we can not trust the general population with our experianece, as a general population with TOO much knowledge is very dangerous. The only way to learn the deepest, darkest secrets of sync conversion are to roll your sleeves up and jump in head first. Rip that under dash apart. Cut some wires (red, black, white and pink). Hook up some relays or other siwches (if needed) to your conversion box and pray to the Gods of horizontal lines that you finish with a clean signal. Also, if yoiu have a chance to 'play' around take the time to discover that RGB is NOT just a clever name for the interface. If you remove the R wire you will have NO red!!!!!!!!!
If you remove the blue wire you will have NO blue!!!! If you remove both the R and the B wires you will ONLY have green on your display!!!!!!!!!!! Try hooking them up backwards and watching the Fast and the Furious, it gives all the cars new paint jobs, and adds 15 whp to each.
Also, the sticky at the top doesn't refer to safety and that needs to be addressed eventually. Too many young kids these days are too busy playing PS2 while driving to pay attention to the light that just turned red in front of them. Please remember that viewing any video source on your DVD screen should only be done when it is 100% safe to do so. Me typing that is kind of ironic considering I have been driving my truck on the highway for this entire post, but I only type wihen it is safe to do so. I haven't hit anything yet while making this thread.
Well, I think this posts about sums everything up. If you have questions still then you might not belong to a society that can think for itself.
Go, my Son, to the promise land.
Quit wasting our time posting things that are all over this site and I'll quit wasting your time by babbling on about useless, insignificant junk that may not even apply to the original question....

No.
Think of it this way. When you build a brand new computer with a DVD drive it won't play DVDs until you load the proper software. Our DVD Rom is basically a computer, with its own operating system. But, it lacks the software to play movies. So, without reprogramming the DVD Rom it will NEVER play movies. You MUST have a dedicated DVD player to play DVDs. The PS2 is popular because its cheap, and plays video games too. I went with an Audiobahn DVD player just because it was black, and fairly small.
You have a lot to learn, young padawon.....

I guess I didn't lay the sarcasm thick enough!
Oh well...maybe someone will read this and not ask that question again.
But something tells me we'll have continue to approach this subject again...
