I am installing the AVN5435 in my '04 coupe right now. The HU comes with a harness that plugs in the back so you can hook up your steering wheel controls. But, there is no instructions on which wires to use from the factory wiring harness. I think I remember a few people on here that have installed this same unit in their car, but I can't find anything on this problem. I am at my friends shop and he has the SWIX here in stock, but to program the swix, you have to have a remote control and the avn doesn't come with it. Does anyone know??

 

yeah u need the remote, your friend should have some at the shop!

 

Yeah, he did. We had to do some digging but we found one that worked. We used the swix, it works pretty good but has a little delay. Not too bad though.
